More students looking at UW-Green Bay summer classes

Summer enrollment at UW-Green Bay is following the national trend upward. Institutional research director Deborah Furlong reports that preliminary figures suggest a significant increase in the number of students enrolled in summer classes. The summer 2009 headcount was 2,156 students. Enrollment is presently 13 percent ahead of the pace of last year. If that trend would hold UW-Green Bay could see a record headcount in the neighborhood of 2,500 students.

Meanwhile, online education journal Inside High Ed reported Wednesday (May 26) that there are signs of near-record enrollment in summer classes nationwide.
