Shorewood’s ‘Bright Idea’ needs your vote

From Rick Warpinski: “Please join the Shorewood and UW-Green Bay community who helped Shorewood’s “Bright Idea” make the NGCOA (National Golf Course Owners Association) Final Four by voting (follow this link: http://www.ngcoa.org/brackets/) where you will see Shorewood’s League Membership idea going up against other great ideas from golf courses across the country. The Revenue Generation idea shared by Shorewood is defined here for your reference:

League Memberships – This program offers golfers playing in leagues either privately managed or course coordinated to buy a seasonal membership that covers the time period of the league. For our course this period is the last week in April through the last week in August. The rate is about 25% less that the full membership. Participants must be playing in our of our many leagues to be eligible for this offer. The program encourages league-only players to become members and play the course more frequently than just the scheduled league dates. Once they experience the benefits of membership (20% off food, beverage, & merchandise plus invites for special events just for members) they often convert to the full season the next year. This program is received very well by our customers and we’ve grown memberships by 15-20% as a result of this offering.
