Commencement: Spring 2009

It’s no secret that students enjoy the UW-Green Bay experience; everything from the trees, tunnels and toilets in the dorms, to the teaching, learning, events, activities, groups, faculty, friendships and so much more.

But, don’t take our word for it. See for yourself from those who have experienced UW-Green Bay, the members of the Class of 2009.

I had a wonderful time. I had a wonderful experience at UWGB. I think they have an awesome political science department, and I learned a lot. Just to be able to graduate feels really good, and I’m looking forward to going out there and showing the world what I’ve got.

It feels good to be finally done with college. It’s been a long and good four years, but it’s really a rewarding experience to know that all my hard work has paid off and I have the degree. Hopefully someday I’ll be finding a job pretty soon.

Theatre Performance

It’s been a pleasure being here. The faculty and staff are amazing. It’s a beautiful campus, especially in the springtime. It’s a great place to be around, good people to be around. People are very nice and care for anything that you need.

I just really liked the interaction with my professors, building personal relationships. Here, it’s almost like family.

I loved my experience at GB, and I’m going to miss the friends that I’m leaving behind and the professors and the experiences, but at the same time I’m looking forward to what the horizon has for me. I’m planning on going to grad school, still, but I don’t know. I’m just excited. I’m glad that I made it here.

Justin Depiesse
Business Administration

I had some points in time where I figured maybe I wasn’t going to do it, but with some support of family and friends and advisors and students and teachers, I got through it. It’s a great feeling today to get through all this. I thought what they said about the whole campus being a type of family is really fitting. There’s a lot of people you get close to here. A lot of professors are real nice to you. It’s a good environment for all students, definitely.

Communication

My advice to freshmen is to get involved immediately. Like I said, take advantage of every opportunity, don’t sit in your dorm room, get out there and meet people and enjoy your time because it goes very fast.

I enjoyed meeting a lot more people, a lot of new people and experiences. The campus has a lot to offer and it’s a small enough campus so you’re able to take advantage of every opportunity that you can. I felt like I really got all of my money and time worth every penny and every minute at the UWGB campus.
