Update: Ulrich, who wowed commencement with walk, is still making strides

We’ve got a very cool update for those who remember graduating senior Jennifer Ulrich’s brave steps across the stage during May 2013 commencement (heck, it’s a very cool update even if you don’t). As Log readers may recall, Ulrich achieved her goal of learning to walk by the time she graduated, despite the spina bifida and cerebral palsy that had kept her in a wheelchair since childhood. In May, Ulrich made her dream a reality to the deafening cheers and standing ovation of a packed Kress Events Center (see video), and she hasn’t stopped working since. Life Coach and UW-Green Bay Associate Lecturer Jane Birr (who just happens to be tomorrow’s After Thoughts speaker) has worked extensively with Ulrich, and recently posted the following video of her incredible progress.
