Nordic ski team competes at NCAA Regionals

The Green Bay Phoenix Nordic skiing team took part in the NCAA Central Regional Championships over the weekend. The men’s team was paced by sophomore Kyle Marshall (Roseville, Minn.), who recorded top 20 finishes in both of his races, 17th in the men’s freestyle 10K and 18th in the men’s classic 20K. Senior Kailey Mucha (Soldotna, Alaska) recorded the best finishes for the Green Bay women’s squad, placing 21st in the freestyle 5K. Freshman Jake Ajax of Minneapolis, who was the team’s second-leading point scorer on the weekend behind Marshall, will continue competition, as he qualified for the Junior U.S. Nationals in Truckee, Calif., next week.
