Diboll ’78 to speak at Baird Creek banquet

The Baird Creek Preservation Foundation invites the public to its 14th Annual Meeting and Banquet Monday evening, March 5, at the Clarion Hotel in downtown Green Bay. Featured speaker is prairie ecologist Neil Diboll, UW-Green Bay Class of ’78 and founder and president of Prairie Nursery, Inc. He’ll speak on Baird Creek as an “Oasis in an Urban Landscape.”  Diboll’s company donated 20,000 plant plugs for restoration in the Baird Creek Parkway in 2011. Cost of the dinner is $17; if interested, RSVP by Feb. 29 to Maureen Meinhardt at 328-3505 or email execdirector@bairdcreek.org.
