Equity Actor Alan Kopischke has joined the cast of UW-Green Bay Theatre and Dance’s upcoming production of “Wonder of the World” in the role of Glen. “Wonder of the World,” will be presented Feb. 22-24 and Feb. 28 to March 3, 2018, at the Jean Weidner Theatre, Weidner Center. All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Here’s a description: “Nothing will prepare you for the dirty little secret Cass discovers in her husband’s sweater drawer. It is so shocking that our heroine has no choice but to flee to the honeymoon capital of the world in a frantic search for the life she thinks she missed out on. It’s a wild ride over Niagara Falls in a barrel of laughs as Cass embarks on a journey of self-discovery.” It is recommended for mature audiences. Get tickets.
Kopischke teaches acting at UW-Green Bay and St. Norbert College. He received his MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater, where he later produced new plays, acted and taught. He has also acted with Steppenwolf, Milwaukee Rep, Peninsula Players, Victory Gardens, Third Avenue Playhouse, Theatre Z and regional theatres across the country. Alan has consulted with dozens of arts organizations around Wisconsin and produces the Door Kinetic Arts Festival, returning in June to Björklunden in Door County. He has gotten his butt kicked (and shot) by actors and real highway patrolmen on network prime time television (“Walker, Texas Ranger”) and in feature films (“Just Visiting” and “Feed the Fish”).
