Manitowoc Campus to host ‘Thinking of Starting a Business?’ Feb. 19

Do you have a business idea in mind? Attend this no cost session and discover whether becoming an entrepreneur is for you! During this course you will learn how to assess and research your business idea. The workshop kicks off a high school student business idea contest series in Manitowoc County, but anyone interested in the topic can register to attend. Registrations will be taken up to the time of the workshop, and walk-ins are welcome.The finals of the high school student business idea contest series in Manitowoc County, the Light Up the Lakeshore Manitowoc County High School Student Business Idea Contest series, will feature the winner of each Manitowoc County high school’s student business idea contest.

The finals will be held at UW-Green Bay Manitowoc Campus at a later date. UW-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus is the lead sponsor of the Light Up the Lakeshore Manitowoc County High School Student Business Idea Contest along with Rawley Point Economic Advising in Manitowoc. Manitowoc County High School student can register their idea at https://rawleypoint.com/announcing-the-2019-light-up-the-lakeshore-student-business-idea-competition/ until March 1. The registration site features a sample pitch by UW-Green Bay alumnus Luke Chambers (’18). The high school contest series is a result of the Light Up the Lakeshore Business Idea Contest in Two Rivers this past August.
