Chancellor Tom Harden uses UW-Green Bay’s signature Phuture Phoenix program to exemplify campus and community connectedness in a recent column for the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. The piece appears in the Winter 2014 edition of Collective Impact, the quarterly magazine that provides Chamber information, membership info and business news.
In his column, Harden talks about the fun of the Phuture Phoenix program’s annual fall tour days, as well as the deeper goals of raising awareness of the importance of postsecondary education and encouraging college attendance. It’s just one of the many ways in which the University works with the community for the greater good, Harden says. “UW-Green Bay graduates are numerous among this region’s business, industry and governmental leaders, teachers, nurses, social workers, planners, scientists and citizen leaders,” he writes. “We’re proud to be continuing that trend with the next generation.”
