Media coverage: ‘Return to the U’ off to a solid start

UW-Green Bay’s “Return to the U” program has yielded a positive response during its first year, and officials are pleased with its prospects moving forward, according to a front-page story in Monday’s (Nov. 28) Green Bay Press-Gazette. A program of Outreach and Adult Access, “Return to the U” is a partnership with Fox Valley Technical College that encourages adults to return to finish their degrees — and offers them specialized support in doing so. Since its inception this summer, “Return to the U” has received about 100 inquiries, and more than a dozen students signed up for fall semester, said Steve VandenAvond, associate provost for Outreach and Adult Access.
