Alumna’s column focuses on mission, history of Habitat ReStore

Log readers may recall a yuletide UW-Green Bay News story about 2013 University alumna Chiara Boss, who serves as the volunteer and resource coordinator for the Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The ReStore accepts and inexpensively resells donated building materials, and those purchases in turn help fund construction of Habitat homes in Brown County (the December story talked about the store’s recycling of old Christmas lights). The ReStore is five years old this month, and Boss wrote about its mission and history in Thursday’s Green Bay Press-Gazette “Today’s Take” column. “Every door jingle is a gift for the Green Bay Habitat for Humanity ReStore,” Boss wrote. “The ding of the bell means that a new donation will help the ReStore contribute to the construction of more Habitat for Humanity homes in Brown County.” Read her full column, and check out December’s feature story.
