In the news: P-G story highlights programming, app development camp

We’ve been bringing you updates about UW-Green Bay Camps’ great selection of summer offerings, sessions that both promise enrichment and remind us that (despite today’s April snow showers) summer will arrive someday. The Green Bay Press-Gazette on Friday (March 28) ran a story about a few of the great camp options, two that offer different levels of video game programming and another that teaches beginning app development. The Press-Gazette’s Dan Higgins spoke with UW-Green Bay lecturer and summer camp instructor Ben Geisler, a real-world game designer eager to share what he knows with the next generation. “They end up making their own game or app,” Geisler said. “They start with basics like running through programs that allow you to make games and apps quickly.” Geisler also talks about the importance of logic, math and art skills, and more. Check out the story.
