On Wednesday (March 2) UW-Green Bay Chancellor Thomas Harden and UW System Regent Judy Crain met with reporters to discuss their concerns about Governor Walker’s budget repair bill. Harden said he is opposed to the proposal to split UW-Madison from the rest of the UW System. He also expressed concerns about the ability for UW-Green Bay to retain and recruit faculty and staff. “We will have other schools come here to cherry pick to recruit our stars, and we will not be in a position to retain them, I’m afraid,” Harden said.
