Build a bowtie with Alex, and hear UW-Green Bay pitches

Entrepreneur Alex Hart-Upendo has been featured in GQ, pitched his business on TV, brought Olympic gymnast Lori Hernandez to his school, and has written a book about why he started his business,” reports the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Not bad at all…until you realize he’s only 11 years old! Alex, of social enterprise BuildABowByAlex.com, will be the featured speaker at the second annual UW-Green Bay Student Business Idea Contest on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at 5 p.m. in the Phoenix B/C, University Union. Students from all majors will pitch their innovative idea in 90 seconds for cash, scholarships to a summer entrepreneurship travel course in Portugal, and the ability to keep pitching this spring for more cash and in-kind services. The event is open to the entire UWGB community, and refreshments will be served. Come build a bow tie for charity, even! For more information, go to https://blog.uwgb.edu/KauthR.
