The governor’s proposed 2015-17 budget for the UW System continues to be the topic of numerous national articles, columns and opinion pieces. The online publication Slate typically has a progressive slant, but this time, they come down on liberals who, the columnist argues, are being out-maneuvered by a politician who knows his audience… and his enemy: Every anti-Walker protest in Madison is another minute of b-roll for the governor’s primary ads, and every attack on his college record—or lack thereof—is just more anti-elitist fodder for debates and stump speeches.”
