Faculty note: Herdman keynote

T. Heather Herdman, assistant professor of Nursing, just returned from Atlanta where she keynoted the conference held by the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners, which had a theme this year of: Advance – Access – Achieve. The general session Herdman presented was titled “What’s new with nursing diagnoses?” and focused on the clinical reasoning skills necessary to confidently move from assessment to diagnosis in an accurate manner, using standardized terminology to concisely communicate findings in an evidence-based manner.
