Prof. Ryan Martin, chair of UW-Green Bay’s psychology program has stepped out of his comfort zone to embark on a fun, rewarding challenge. Martin will compete in the Dancing With Our Stars fundraiser — an annual event that benefits the regional American Red Cross. With humor and a bit of self-depreciation, Martin looks to his Phoenix family for guidance as he prepares for this undertaking, which requires him to ballroom dance at the February 25, 2017 event. In the video, Martin dances partner Mina Witte of Simply Ballroom, takes center stage at the Weidner Center with Phlash the Phoenix, joins in Kristy Aoki’s lunchtime Zumba class at the Kress Center, and studies with UWGB instructor Denise Carlson-Gardner and her Jazz III students.
