In the news: Kraft weighs in for story on pain at the pump

Prof. Emeritus Michael Kraft offered some context to the issue of fluctuating gas prices for a Wednesday (Sept. 19) story on WLUK, Fox 11 News. With experts predicting prices will drop but many consumers saying the pain at the pump is too great, Kraft says prices here are relatively low compared with other countries. “U.S. gasoline prices are among the lowest in the world,” Kraft said. “In Norway and Sweden, they’re close to $10 a gallon. Through Europe, they’re twice what we pay.” Kraft also suggested changing driving habits to mitigate the pain at the pump. Full story.
