Faculty note: Yunsun Huh presentations in Korea

Economist Yunsun Huh, assistant professor of Democracy and Justice Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies, presented her research regarding gender empowerment and labor market performance as an invited scholar at the special seminar for the Korean Women’s Development Institute, a government-sponsored institute in South Korea that brings in notable international scholars to address women’s development issues. Her seminar topic was “Gender Perspective Reflected in Labor and Environmental Policies of the United States.” Huh also presented her paper “Do Tied Movers Matter? The Effect of Home-country Gender Status on the Labor Market Performance of Tied Immigrants” at a seminar for Korea University, where she also presented “The Economics of Gender and Labor Supply of Women.” At Sunggyungwan University, she led a workshop for the Department of Global Studies titled “The Economics of Gender and Division of Labor by Gender.”
