Assistant Prof. Eric J. Morgan‘s (Democracy and Justice Studies) most recent article, “Virtual Worlds: Integrating Second Life into the History Classroom,” appears in the August 2013 issue of The History Teacher. The article discusses Morgan’s experience using Second Life, a virtual 3D universe consisting of avatars and created environments, as a medium for teaching history courses, exploring the efficacy of online discussions and the possibilities for historical research, scholarship, reenactment, collaboration, and outreach within a virtual online world.
