Dale talks pop culture, politics Thursday at ‘Philosophers’ Café’

UW-Green Bay political scientist Timothy Dale of Democracy and Justice Studies will be the featured speaker this week for the final Philosophers’ Café of the academic year. His topic will be “The Public Sphere, Popular Culture and Political Discourse.” The gathering is open to all, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday (May 10) in front of the fireplace at St. Brendan’s Inn, 234 S. Washington Street. Questions to be examined include: What impact does popular culture have on political discourse? Can the production and consumption of popular culture count as political participation? Philosophers’ Café is a collaborative project of faculty and students from UW-Green Bay and St. Norbert College. Visit their webpage.
