Moyers interview with Kaye to air nationally on Sunday

Tag icon , , ,

UW-Green Bay Prof. Harvey Kaye will be Bill Moyers’ guest this weekend on the National Public Television program “Moyers and Company.” Taped earlier this week, the conversation airs at 6 p.m. CDT Sunday (April 13) on our local affiliate, WPNE-TV Channel 38. It will mark Kaye’s third appearance over the years on Moyers’ program, the most recent being a discussion of Thomas Paine and American democracy. Program producers are billing Kaye’s visit with the teaser, “Where’s FDR when we need him? And why are his “Four Freedoms” more important than ever?” They’ve posted a short clip from the interview, in advance.

More radio and TV appearances
Prof. Harvey Kaye of Democracy and Justice Studies has just passed the midway point of his whirlwind week of speeches, appearances and media interviews to mark the release of his book The Fight for the Four Freedoms: What Made FDR and the Greatest Generation Truly Great. We’ve mentioned here previously that he will be a featured speaker at Saturday’s FDR Day event at Four Freedoms Park in New York City. We’ve noted he has been rescheduled to 2:15 p.m. CDT this Friday (April 11) on the MSNBC show “The Cycle.”
