Hot Chelle Rae warms a cool night at UW-Green Bay

The red-hot band Hot Chelle Rae (No. 7 on Billboard’s Top 100 with “Tonight, Tonight”) heated-up a cool concert venue outside of the University Union and Mary Ann Cofrin Hall Monday evening, September 5. An audience of about 1,200 — mostly UW-Green Bay students — attended the free concert sponsored by the Office of Student Life, RHAA and Good Times Programming as part of “Great Beginnings” week. The evening highlight was an invitation to members of the audience to join the band on stage for the title track of their first album “Lovesick Electric.” The Fourth Estate captured the spirit of the evening with a short video posted on Facebook. The Nashville-based group, formed in 2005, balances the polished sounds of mainstream pop with energized, guitar-heavy dance-rock. Guitarist Nash Overstreet is brother of Glee-famed Chord Overstreet.
