Go for a “virtual drive”

September 10, 1-4:30 pm, DUI Simulator — Outside the Corner Store, University Union
5 to 7 p.m., Texting Simulator — Kress Events Center

Go for a “virtual drive” in this computerized vehicle designed to show the dangers of driving while under the influence of alcohol or texting while driving. The DUI Simulator is an actual vehicle that provides the driver with a virtual impaired driving experience. Panoramic views of a digital road are presented via a head-mounted display unit. Data received from the wheels of the car renders the virtual experience in real time. Sponsored by the Healthy Choices Task Force.
