Audiences will be treated to a “wacky” musical and visual experience Wednesday (April 24), as the UW-Green Bay Wind Ensemble plays homage to Nevada’s Burning Man Festival during a one-of-a-kind concert. The ensemble will offer a dramatized performance featuring special lighting, 3D art works — and a few visual surprises we’re not at liberty to divulge. The group’s pieces, Tielman Susato’s “The Dansyre” and Russell Peck’s “Cave,” will be sandwiched between the more conventional — but no less enjoyable — performances of the UW-Green Bay Chorale and the State-Bound High School Honors Band. Tickets are just $7 and $5 for this unique concert, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Cofrin Family (main) Hall of the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. Our news release has full details.
