Good Times lands ‘Idol’ champ to play the Weidner

The booking of a May 2013 concert at the Weidner Center led Green Bay Press-Gazette entertainment writer Kendra Meinert’s Thursday (Jan. 10) column, building an early buzz for the visit from an “American Idol” champ. Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips will play the Weidner May 9 thanks to our own Good Times Programming, which also brought Idol winner David Cook to campus four years back. Tickets for students will be just $13 when they go on sale Feb. 1 at the University Ticketing and Information Center (four-ticket limit, with student ID required).
