Lou LeCalsey, the retired paper-industry executive who heads the UW-Green Bay Foundation and Chancellor’s Council of Trustees, was featured guest on the public affairs program “CW 14 Focus” last Sunday morning. He talks quite a bit about the University in the program now available online – click here.
Lexi LeCalsey signs with Phoenix
Her grandfather Lou (above) was UW-Green Bay’s first soccer coach, 45 years ago. Now, star De Pere Redbirds pitcher Lexi LeCalsey will be enrolling here in hopes of making a little Phoenix history herself. Lexi recently signed a letter of intent to play college softball for Coach Jean Rivett. That delights Lou, who told friends, “Lexi is so excited at the prospect of playing at UWGB for Coach Rivett and with a number of the team’s players she has met. And Grandpa and Grandma are ready to see many… UWGB softball games over the next four years.” Congratulations to the LeCalseys. There’s an Athletics news release on the signing.
