Turn of the century Paris… a city of exquisite contradiction. The heady elixir of personal freedom bred lifestyles both reckless and addictive. Drawn to Paris by the city’s passion, a flame fueled by the hearts of lovers and the souls of poets, Matthew and Nathalie tempt fate as they seek love and destiny at the infamous cabaret – The Moulin Rouge. That’s the tease for the Thursday night (Nov. 1) touring production by the acclaimed Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Tickets available at the Union ticket desk during the day, or at the Weidner Center box office starting 90 minutes prior to the 7:30 p.m. curtain. See more.
Reminder: Remembering Linda Erwin
Thursday’s performance of Moulin Rouge by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet will be dedicated to the memory of the Weidner Center’s first managing director, Linda Erwin. An informal gathering will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 1), following the ballet, in the Signature Lounge.
