Reminder: Proposals due Monday for OPID spring conference

OPID representatives Jennifer Lanter and Regan Gurung of the UW-Green Bay faculty are reminding UW System faculty and staff that proposals are due by Monday (Oct. 6) for OPID’s 2015 Spring Conference. The theme is Mindful Teaching: Inquiry, Connection, Sustainability, and Creativity for the conference to be held April 16-17 at the Heidel House Resort in Green Lake. The conference is expected to attract about 200 faculty staff and students across many disciplines, demonstrating the UW System’s commitment to excellence in teaching and student learning. The intentional relationships among mindful teaching, scholarly assessment of student learning, and inclusive and diverse learning environments will be a foundation of this event.

The Conference is being co-sponsored by the UW System’s Office of Professional and Instructional Development and the Office of Academic and Student Affairs. Proposals should be submitted to https://www.union.wisc.edu/opid/abstract/index.asp.
