The Public and Environmental Affairs academic unit and the Center for Public Affairs have announced the fall 2013 lineup of films as the “iPat” series returns. (iPat stands for Impact=Population*Affluence*Technology.) The first installment, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, is “Pandora’s Promise.” An audience favorite at the most recent Sundance Film Festival, the film asks whether the one technology many environmentalists fear most could in fact save the planet from climate catastrophe while lifting billions of people in the developing world out of poverty.

Films this fall are:
•  Oct. 1 — “Pandora’s Promise”
•  Nov. 5 — “Trashed”
•  Dec. 3 — “More than Honey”
