Transgender issues will be topic of fall’s first LGBTQ panel discussion

The LGBTQ Resource Center is sponsoring a Trans Panel discussion on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Union’s Christie Theatre. Panel members will answer anonymous questions provided from the audience about topics that concern individuals who are transgender. This topic was selected the first educational topic of the LGBTQ series this semester, organizers say, “because of the increasing number of students who are Trans enrolling at UWGB each year.” The discussion is expected to cover career/work challenges and opportunities, family and social relationships, health care, and other topics that can enhance your understanding and ability to support the well-being of individuals who are Trans. This program is free and open to students, staff and faculty. For more information, contact the LGBTQ Center at 465-2167 or check out the Facebook page at UW-Green bay LGBTQ Resource Center, or e-mail Interim Diversity Director Stacie Christian at christis@uwgb.edu.
