Christian will serve as interim diversity director

Stacie Christian will serve as interim diversity director for UW-Green Bay through May 2014, it was announced today by Dean of Students Brenda Amenson-Hill. Christian is a longtime UW-Green Bay employee, having taught courses in Human Development and the Interdisciplinary Studies programs since 1994. Her interim appointment is effective Aug. 26. She will continue to teach two courses each semester for Human Development and Psychology, and maintain her part-time role as lead coordinator for the campus LGBTQ Center. She is a UW-Green Bay graduate, earning her bachelor’s in Psychology in 1984 and her master’s in Community Human Services in 1989. Her extensive list of community involvement in health care and social services include tenures as executive director of nursing homes in Green Bay and Kewaunee and director of outpatient services for the Bellin Health Psychiatric Center. Amenson-Hill said she intends to post the permanent diversity director position during the spring semester.
