Outreach and Adult Access, partners to offer conflict resolution workshops

The Mediation Center of Greater Green Bay, Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and UW-Green Bay’s Division of Outreach and Adult Access are proud to announce a new program series designed to help local businesses and individuals develop skills to constructively manage conflict in the work environment. Presented by Laura Smythe, Director of the Mediation Center, and UW-Green Bay’s own Associate Prof. Adolfo Garcia, this Conflict Resolution Workshop Series will offer five sessions, one per month beginning in September, each designed to address different facets of the conflict resolution process.

Sessions dates, times and topics are:
Friday, Sept. 13, 9-9:30 a.m. “Discovering and Discussing Your Approach to Conflict”
Monday, Oct. 7, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. “Envisioning Conflict As a Positive Catalyst for Change”
Friday, Nov. 15, 8-9:30 a.m. “Preventing Conflicts Through Ethical Communication©”
Friday, Dec. 13, 8-9:30 a.m. “Active Listening to Prevent Miscommunication”
Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, 8-9:30 a.m. “Facilitating Difficult Conversations Between Employees”
