Campus utility outages on Green Bay Campus planned for week of May 20

The Green Bay Campus will require two utility outages the week of May 20, 2019. Please read the details of each instance shown below:

  •  May 19, 2019 at 6 p.m. – May 24, 2019 at Noon:  The campus will be shutting down the steam and condensate system to all academic buildings in order to make some repairs, remove asbestos, and allow the contractor of the STEM building to make final connections to the utility lines. This means that none of the academic buildings will have hot water or building heat. If the steam can be restored sooner, an updated email will be sent.
  • May 20, 2019 at 5:30 p.m.:  All academic buildings, path lights, and street lights will lose power for approximately 15 minutes while Wisconsin Public Service and our staff change the primary electrical service cabling at our substation. All general electrical receptacles and lighting will lose power during this time. I would recommend that your electronics be powered off prior to this outage. Electrical items that are connected to an emergency power system will maintain power once the generator starts and the transfer switch is activated. Residence Life buildings and Shorewood Golf Course will not be affected.
