Alumnus-founded Sting Cancer group to host annual ‘Wear Yellow Day’ Friday

UW-Green Bay alumnus and Green Bay Preble High School teacher Nick Nesvacil ’07 (Master’s in Applied Leadership for Teaching and Learning) continues to lead Preble’s Sting Cancer organization, which has one of its premier events coming up Friday, May 10. “Wear Yellow Day” is the most visible day of the year for Sting Cancer, a group Nesvacil started to provide support for individuals and families fighting cancer. Sting Cancer is believed to be one of the largest student-organized cancer support groups in the country, after it was started by Nesvacil — himself a cancer survivor — in 2004.
