The UW-Green Bay Professional Program in Nursing is celebrating its 30th year of offering Registered Nurses (RNs) a baccalaureate completion program. The UW-Green Bay RN to BSN program was approved by the Board of Regents in 1980 and began offering classes in 1981-82. Nursing had RN graduate No. 1,000 from the program this academic year. The program is marking the anniversary with the development of a display detailing the historical highlights of the program and its rich heritage in nursing education, both on campus and in the virtual classroom online.
The “History Wall” was developed by Fall 2011 graduate Kari Rader for her Senior Project with the coordination of Nursing staff member Ruth Pearson and assistance of staff member Lynn Rotter. The piece is permanently displayed in the Professional Program in Nursing Suite (Suite 325, Rose Hall). “If you have the opportunity to travel to campus, stop to visit and view the wall!”
