In a sure sign of spring, Education Outreach is thinking summer — and preparing for a great lineup of Summer 2013 Offerings for Educators. These research-based courses provide teachers, administrators and other professionals the practical education they need to apply theory and best practice to the classroom and school environment. The courses run throughout the summer, offering a wide variety of face-to-face, blended and online learning formats with various credit and noncredit enrollment options. Popular returning courses include “Communicating and Collaborating with Google Tools” and “Integrating iPads into the Curriculum”; while new offerings include “Introduction to the Next Generation Science Standards for K-8 Teachers” and “What Makes You an Effective Teacher?,” which will help educators demonstrate what they know and employ educational practices that foster students’ growth.
