Learn to be a lifesaver with AED defibrillators

You know those AED stations (Automated External Defibrillators) you’ve been hearing about, and seeing across campus? Now’s your chance to learn how they work. The HR Office and UW-Green Bay’s Wellness Committee will offer a 45-minute session at 12:15 p.m. next Tuesday (March 12), and repeat it at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday (March 13), both in the Union’s Christie Theatre. AEDs analyze the heart’s electrical rhythm for abnormalities. When  needed, an AED administers a shock to a person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest, increasing survival chances by as much as 75 percent. UW-Green Bay has recently added several more AEDs to bring the campuswide total to 21. You’re invited to bring a lunch to this program in the Lunch and Learn series.
