Spring Session of Great Books Discussions Announced

The spring session of the Great Books Discussions is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 at the Brown County Central Library, 515 Pine Street, downtown Green Bay. Discussions take place on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Library’s Board Room. Faculty and lecturers from UW-Green Bay (Humanities) lead the discussions. Date of presentation, book title and presenters, are as follows:

Feb. 13, Enemy of the People (1883, Henrik Ibsen), Susan Frost
March 13, The Overcoat (1842, Nicolai Gogol), Kevin Kain
April 10, End of the Affair (1951, Graham Greene), Emily Ransom
May 8, The Old Woman Magoun (1905, Mary Freeman), Jennie Young

The library offers many of these titles in a variety of formats. Copies can be reserved or downloaded from the library’s online catalog by clicking on the library card. These discussions are free and open to anyone interested in participating. Parking is free downtown after 6 p.m.
