University Police seek information on graffiti incidents

UW-Green Bay Police are seeking information on a recent string of graffiti incidents in Studio Arts and Theatre Hall.

The graffiti resurfaced in late October when doors, walls and recycling bins were defaced, after some similar activity was reported last year but stopped during the summer. The graffiti has caused thousands of dollars in damage, including to a dumpster that was not fixable and had to be replaced, said UW-Green Bay Police Chief Tomas Kujawa.

“This is not what UW-Green Bay is all about,” Kujawa said. “It’s time for it to end.”

The incidents could be charged as felonies, but University Police are willing to work on a different resolution with the person responsible for the graffiti if he or she comes forward, Kujawa said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Green Bay Area Crime Stoppers at (920) 432-STOP (7867) or University Police at (920) 465-2300, ext. 2. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
