Alumni Rising: Engler '10 designs Eco-cool shirt

As part of an interdisciplinary project, Design Arts alumna Christine Engler ’10, designed an ECO U t-shirt for the Environmental Management Business Institute (EMBI) in conjunction with Earth Week. The University trademarked the phrase “Eco U” this past year.

Engler’s design was selected from a number of student-submitted designs and then refined for the shirts that are on sale now in the Phoenix Bookstore or online at www.thephoenixbookstore.com for $14.99.

A portion of the profit will go to an academic program. Faculty member Toni Damkoehler (Arts and Visual Design) helped with oversight of the project. Engler is now serving in an internship capacity for Arketype Inc., a design firm with a national reputation and portfolio, with a home office in Green Bay.
